What we collect

As little as possible. There are no user accounts, so there is nothing to sign up for and no profile to fill in. The tools run in your browser and the files you open in them - images, PDFs, audio, video - are processed on your device and never reach us. We only ever hold something you deliberately send: a leaderboard entry, or a message you email us.

Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics for aggregated, anonymous traffic stats. No third-party trackers, no advertising cookies.

Cookies and local storage

We set no cookies at all - no tracking cookies, no advertising cookies. Some tools save your own settings in your browser's localStorage so they survive a reload: your interface language, and per-tool preferences such as saved calculations, game settings and personal best scores. The Watermark Remover additionally uses Cache Storage to keep its downloaded AI model file (see "On-device AI models" below). All of this stays on your device, is readable only by this site, and is never sent to us.

Leaderboards

The Typing Shooter leaderboard is the one tool that sends data to our server: the nickname you type, your score, and a random identifier generated in your browser so the same player can update their own entry. That identifier is a random value tied to the browser, not to you - we cannot link it to a real person, and we never ask for an email or any other identifying detail to play. Choosing not to enter a nickname keeps you off the board entirely.

Feedback

If you send feedback through the widget, the message and the optional nickname you type are forwarded to a private team channel so we can read it, along with technical context that helps us reproduce the problem: which page you were on, your screen size, language and browser user agent. There is no email field, so we have no way to write back - if you want a reply, email us instead. Please do not type personal details into the message itself; anything you write there is forwarded as-is.

Abuse protection

Requests to our API are rate-limited so automated scripts cannot hammer them. Your IP address is used as the counter for that check, kept in server memory for at most a minute, and is never written to a database, logged, or shared.

Third-party services

Media suggestions are served from our own database - your browser never queries Simkl, AniList, IGDB or Open Library, which we read only on our own schedule to refresh that database. Cover images are the exception: they are loaded straight from those providers' image servers, so those servers see the request. Some other tools call public sources directly from your browser (for example the deal listings), and those services may log the request under their own privacy policies. The Watermark Remover downloads its AI model files from Hugging Face (huggingface.co); that download is a static model file coming to your device, and those servers see only the request for the file, never your image or video.

On-device AI models

The Watermark Remover cleans your file with an AI model that runs entirely in your browser. The first time you use it, the model file is downloaded to your device and kept in your browser's Cache Storage so it does not download again on later visits. What is cached is the model itself - a static file - not your image or video: your file is inpainted locally, on your own hardware, and is never uploaded to us or to anyone else. To remove the cached model, clear site data for rave-tools.com in your browser settings.

Data deletion

Tool settings and any cached AI model live only in your browser: clear site data (localStorage and Cache Storage) for rave-tools.com in your browser settings and they are gone. The only data on our side is a leaderboard entry, if you submitted one - email ravetools.dev@gmail.com with the nickname and we will remove it.
