Typing Shooter is a browser-based arcade typing game in the spirit of ZType: enemies stream onto the arena carrying words, and you shoot them down by typing those words fast and accurately. The first correct letter locks the nearest matching enemy, then every keystroke fires at it until it's destroyed - so you always know exactly what you're typing. Clear waves of rising difficulty, chain perfect words to build a combo multiplier, and push your score before three enemies slip past you.
Two game modes cover both moods. Endless is the classic survival run: random words, waves that never stop, and a score leaderboard. Pick Easy, Medium or Hard - harder pacing keeps more enemies on screen and scores at full value (Medium ×0.70, Easy ×0.5), so Hard tops the board. Checkpoint is a finite campaign of fixed waves - the same words for every player on every skin - where reaching a new wave sets a checkpoint you always resume from, so you can retry the wave that stops you instead of grinding from zero. You get one life per attempt here - lose it and you restart from your checkpoint, not the beginning. Checkpoint records are ranked by furthest wave reached and save to the leaderboard automatically.
Unlike a plain typing test, it turns practice into a game you actually want to replay: your live WPM, accuracy and wave are tracked as you play, and every run ends with full stats plus a shot at the global Top 10 leaderboards. Scores are validated server-side, so the boards stay fair, and cosmetic worlds let you re-skin the whole arena without ever changing the scoring. It needs a physical keyboard, so it's best played on desktop - warm up, find your rhythm, and watch your words-per-minute climb.
